Summary:
This position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of financial management of assigned departments and staff.
Responsibilities:
1.
Provides financial support for strategic and tactical planning.
2.
Provides support in facilitating and assisting managers in the preparation of the annual operating and capital budgets.
3.
Monitoring of financial performance, achievement of goals and benchmarks, identifying variances, preparing and presenting analyses and reports to VP and management team.
4.
Monitors and facilitates revenue activities including revenue recognition5.
Provides recommendations and oversees financial improvement6.
Facilitate and meaningfully participate in contingency planning and financial forecasting.
7.
Collaborates with other financial management and staff to ensure conformity and compliance with all aspects of financial management.
8.
Assists with the development of capital and operating budgets.
Focus on efficient operations including use of resources and profitability.
9.
Participates as a member of the management team in planning, organizing, implementing and monitoring management initiatives involving ongoing operations, growth initiatives and contingency planning and implementation.
10.
Develops business plans for new programs and services.
11.
Assures consistency with Akron Children's financial policies and guidelines, budgeting methods, pricing of patient charges, accounting methods, etc.
12.
Acts as primary liaison with Akron Children's Finance Departments.
13.
Other duties as required.
Other information:
Technical Expertise1.
Experience working with all levels within an organization is preferred.
2.
Experience in healthcare is preferred.
3.
Proven ability in financial analysis and accounting methodologies required.
4.
Strong written and oral communication skills and problem-solving skills required.
5.
Proficiency in MS Office Outlook, Excel, Word or similar software is required.
Education and Experience1.
Education:
MBA required with a major in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
2.
Certification:
CPA preferred.
3.
Years of
Experience:
Minimum of ten (10) years finance experience, preferably in healthcare, required4.
Years of experience supervising:
Four (4) years supervisory experience required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
